Racine woman pleads guilty to throwing baby in trash | Crime

A Racine restaurant worker accused of giving birth at work and throwing the baby in the trash pleads guilty to reckless homicide.

24-year-old Breanna Gering of Franklin gave birth last August in the bathroom of a Perkins restaurant.

She put the baby inside some trash bags and threw the child in a waste bin behind the restaurant.

Later that day, Gering went to a hospital for cramps and bleeding.

She lied about giving birth.
